Tour Overview
Four days is enough for the two things everyone wants to see: the rock fortress of Sigiriya and the sacred city of Kandy. It suits travellers flying in from India, Dubai, Singapore or Malaysia for a long weekend, and people adding a few days to a business trip in Colombo.
You start straight from the airport rather than losing a day in Colombo, spend two nights in the Cultural Triangle, see Sigiriya, Dambulla and a wild elephant safari, then cross to Kandy for the Temple of the Tooth and the botanic gardens before flying home. No day has more than about four hours’ driving.
